Nestled in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, Blowing Cave Mill & General Store offers visitors a chance to experience a piece of the area’s past in a way that is both educational and fun.

     The property has undergone years of renovation and restoration, with work beginning in 2010. As far as our records indicate, the transformation of the Mill and General Store was completed in July 2025, preparing this historic property to welcome visitors once again.

     Inside the General Store, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the sights and atmosphere of a traditional period general store. From vintage advertising and merchandise displays to historic fixtures, containers, and other time-period pieces, every corner was designed to capture the character of the stores that once served communities like this one.

     But this isn’t just a museum. The General Store is a place to explore, shop, and enjoy some old-fashioned favorites. Browse Blowing Cave Mill merchandise, choose from an assortment of fudge and penny candy, enjoy seasonal ice cream, pick up jams and other treats, or simply take your time looking at the unique collection of items throughout the store.

     Beyond the General Store is the historic Blowing Cave Mill itself. Visitors can join our Daily Mill Tours or one of our Paranormal Experiences that will provide you with an opportunity to explore the Mill and learn about its history and significance.

     Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a family looking for something different, a collector of nostalgic treasures, or simply someone who enjoys discovering places with a story to tell, Blowing Cave Mill invites you to slow down, look around, and experience a little piece of the past.

     We’re open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time and closed on Sundays. Holiday schedules may vary, so please check out our website or Facebook page for the latest updates.
